About Open Lyceum
Open Lyceum is a curated open-education platform built on Open edX. It assembles freely licensed course material from leading universities into self-paced courses you can take from anywhere.
The current catalog is 10 courses in math, computer science, and AI — drawn from MIT OpenCourseWare and Stanford Online video lectures. The platform is subject-agnostic; new courses are added as they're prepared.
How it works
The platform is standard Open edX — you enroll in a course, watch video lectures, work through problem sets, and take comprehension quizzes. Videos are embedded from the original publishers' YouTube channels; course materials remain under their original Creative Commons or equivalent licenses.
Open Lyceum is not affiliated with MIT, Stanford, edX, or any other institution whose materials it hosts. It is a curriculum curator and delivery platform for freely licensed course material.
The catalog
Current focus areas: math foundations (single- and multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, probability), core CS (algorithms, programming, computational thinking), and modern AI (machine learning, deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, computer vision). Other subjects will be added as they're curated and validated.
